The Devil and Tom Walker

“The Devil and Tom Walker” is a musical adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic tale, reimagined with dark humour, colonial grit, and a touch of supernatural flair. In the shadowed woods outside Boston, the miserly American colonist Tom Walker encounters a fearsome figure—an infernal tempter who offers him unimaginable riches. Temptation proves stronger than caution, and Tom eagerly bargains away his soul for wealth beyond measure. But as the weight of damnation begins to press upon him, Tom desperately seeks to escape the pact he so readily embraced. In the end, he discovers that no amount of scheming can outwit the Devil, and that every bargain struck in the darkness must one day be paid in full.
