Blackwood

It’s the late 1800’s and Leon, a grizzly ex bounty hunter with a painful past, rides into town with Micah, a young man he has raised since Micah’s parents were murdered. As is usual when they come into town, they head to the local saloon to wash away the dust and pay their favourite girls some attention. Madam Sadie, who has shared some of Leon’s worst days – and who just may be the love of his life – is as beautiful and sassy as ever.

But the saloon’s shadows hide more than memories. A stranger looms in the corner, his presence a quiet storm. He knows their names, their stories, and their weaknesses – and he’s here to collect. As the truth about Micah’s parents’ violent end emerges, the young man’s simmering anger boils into a thirst for vengeance, a thirst that Leon knows only too well.

To save Micah from the path that ruined him, Leon must confront his own dark history – a past soaked in betrayal and blood. The stranger’s game will force Leon to face a final reckoning with the most ruthless outlaw he’s ever known, a man who knows exactly how to exploit Leon’s fears. 4M, 1F.
