For school theatrical competitions (and only for school theatrical competitions) the performance of an excerpt from a play – that is less than 10 minutes in duration – is currently royalty free… UNLESS otherwise stated by the copyright holder. The only requirement is that you purchase the script and pay copy fees if you require more than one copy of the script.
