UNBRIDLED PASSIONS by Forrest Blaine Callaway is a three-act Tennessee Williams-esque comedy (a homage) set in 1915 Louisiana on an agricultural estate with the moniker Straviola. It is the story of two older southern gentlemen (and life partners) Jefferson and Willie and their quest to make sure that their estate (upon their eventual demise) remains securely in the hands of their “adopted, surrogate son” Hank. To counteract the avaricious advances of femme fatale Lucinda (who has been making moves on Hank), the two gentlemen enlist the aid of a young family friend Sara May in an arranged marriage for their “son”. The complications continue to mount up as Sara May’s Aunt Althea and Hank’s sister Rose add to the confusion. But with a little luck and a great deal of southern charm (as well as some help from William Shakespeare) – all’s well that ends well.
