“Melody’s Last Line” is a fast-paced, comic satire in which a dogged but unsuccessful writer faces an untimely demise, due to an inadvertently diagnosed malignant brain tumor.
Melody finds herself failed by the institutions of marriage, medicine and organized religion. So does this mean that, when all is said and done, life is about our attitude, our input, our output? Or is it just plain “luck-of-the-draw”?
Have your audience laughing at the antics of our characters, but at the same time questioning their own existence. Life means something different for each of our characters… From the Catholic priest hell-bent on converting Melody before she dies, to the Doctor who is so burnt out that he desperately needs a vacation. Unfortunately for Melody, it looks like she’ll be just another patient who can’t be saved. (3M, 10F).
