It is November of 1958 in the two-bedroom apartment of Nathan Dufour. Nathan wants a promotion. His boss has made it clear that he wants a stable married man for the position and that he will meet each of the candidates for a home-cooked meal and then make his decision. Insulted that Nathan did not actually ask her to marry him; Emma stomps away declaring their relationship is over. Nathan’s friend, Scooter, recommends his friend Lola, to play the pretend wife. It is November of 1958 and Nathan Dufour wants a promotion. The only problem is that his boss prefers a “stable and married” man for the position. Nathan, who is single, decides to create his own make-believe happy family. And so, the trouble begins. How on earth does Nathan wind up with three different make-believe wives at the same dinner party? And what does his boss think about it all? This is an hilarious romp through the “Honesty Is Always Best” policy.
