Anna, a shy, timid accountant, has spent her adult life playing it safe and caring for others. While coming in to catch up on work over the weekend, she surprises two brothers breaking into the safe. Suddenly, Anna is in a heart-pounding, action-packed fight for her very survival against Derrick, a handsome, charming master manipulator, and his older brother John who has come reluctantly along for the first time. With Derrick holding all the cards, Anna must find her inner resolve, learn to take risks, and be ruthless herself. Can she turn the brothers against each other before one of them cracks the safe and they no longer need her alive?

In 2022 Duress was selected to be featured at Stage West Playhouse in Spring Hill, Florida where it received positive reviews. It was also selected to be featured at the 2023 Powerstories Voices of Women Theater Festival, where it won the Empower Her Award.
