In addition to royalties; a portion of the writer’s income is derived from the sales of the illustrative materials they have provided for their play. This includes rehearsal scripts, music, scores, band parts, etc.   A play or musical cannot be performed using scripts or materials that have been purchased and then reproduced, until such time as a Copy Fee for that right has been paid to Stage-Write Plays.

Copy fees are a flat-rate fee based on the quantity of materials required. The payment of these fees is incorporated into your check-out process. Payment of the Copy Fee allows you to make as many copies of the script, scores, music and other provided materials as is required for rehearsals and performances.

The pre-paid Copy Fees will form part of your Performance Licence.  Please note that your pre-filled Performance Licence application form will be included in your downloads upon checkout.

A performance licence is the only legal way in which to perform any of the plays, or copy any of the scripts, that are published on the Stage-Write Plays website.
